9:30am – 2:00pm

ATTENTION PARENTS GRANDPARENTS CHILD CARE PROVIDERS & TEACHERS!! If you have a child between 0 and 5 years old, this FREE program is for you! Grab your children and come on out for information, activities, giveaways, food, and fun!! Call to let us know you’re coming at (502) 583-8821. Ask for Deborah Grant.

School readiness means your child enters school ready to engage in and benefit from early learning experiences. School readiness promotes each child’s success, because each child is Ready to GrowReady to Learn, and Ready to Succeed (JCPS). We know that children who start ready are more likely to be successful throughout their education experience. According to results of the Brigance assessments, which test for kindergarten readiness, the percentage of students who were ready for kindergarten entering a Jefferson County Public School increased to 51.6 percent this year, up from 47.9 percent in fall 2015. Although, we are excited about this improvement; we are committed to supporting parents, family leaders, teachers, early child development providers, and community stakeholders with information and resources so that ALL children will be kindergarten-ready!

*Child care providers can receive up to 4 hours professional development credits for attending training workshop.
