Youth Drug Prevention Video Contest
Thursday, May 14, 2020
4:30pm – 5:30pm
This is an opportunity for youth to create a short video and qualify for cash and/or prizes from two contests. LCCC will award three winners at $300, $150, and $75. Videos will be live streamed on Facebook on Friday, May 29th. Additional information will be available very soon.
School-age youth are encouraged to submit your drug prevention video through email to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before Monday, May 25th. Videos should not exceed 30 seconds and must include a compelling message against drug and alcohol use. Winners have an opportunity to earn cash and prizes. Seven Counties Services will also judge a citywide contest on June 16th and provide a variety of prizes. Videos will automatically be entered into both competitions.
Videos must be in one of the following formats Movie Maker, Windows Media, or in a file ending .WMV, .MOV, .AMI, or .M4V.
Please include in each email your name, age, and school. Additionally, by submitting the video for the contest, parents and guardians are authorizing Louisville Central Community Centers, Inc to share these productions both internally and publicly and for any other public relations/marketing as we deem appropriate for promoting our youth program opportunities.
For additional support and/or information about creating the video and examples of winning videos in the past, register for this Zoom session Thursday, March 14th at 4:30pm.
