Louisville Central Development Corporation (LCDC) was created by LCCC in 1991 with a mission of promoting and fostering economic and housing development projects. Community development initiatives of LCDC are a major influence to the city's neighborhood and economic revitalization efforts in the historic Russell neighborhood area. LCDC is a tremendously successful, HUD designated Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) providing affordable housing development in Russell. LCDC is among the first organizations to develop affordable, attractive, single-family market rate housing in Russell.
