LCDC’s leadership in housing development and support services for potential homeowners has been a catalyst for change, enabling the American dream to become a reality for several families in the Russell neighborhood.

We believe homeownership is important for low-income families who seek to build personal wealth and to help tough neighborhoods become stable and economically vibrant.

Over 60 affordable homes have been constructed by LCDC in Pioneer Park in historic Russell. The development, located between 15th and 18th streets, and Muhammad Ali Boulevard and Jefferson Street, is only six blocks from downtown Louisville and the Ohio River waterfront. It has homes ranging in price from $60,000 to $110,000. Over 15 lots remain for single-family homes.
