LCCC has launched the Millionaire Academy to service talented young people who would make great business owners. The Millionaire Academy is an 8-week course that teaches, trains and develops young future business owners in hopes of creating a better life for themselves and their community.
“We work with young people every day and we know they’re really talented young people – particularly with technical, technology-based aptitudes and they’re capable of being great business owners and we want to expose them to that and to pursue that as a career,” LCCC President and CEO Sam Watkins Jr. said.
Students must be between the ages of 11 and 17 and must provide a letter explaining why they want to be part of the academy along with a letter of recommendation. There is a $100 application fee, but scholarships are available.
