ACADEMIC COACH (Grades K-5)

Louisville Central Community Centers is seeking creative, energetic academic coaches with experience in community-based educational programming within small group learning environments. The Academic Coach position will primarily work with children between the ages of 6 to 12 in high quality educational environment. This position will be on-site, 5 days a week for 6 to 8 hours each day. Individuals with proven skills in providing a fun, engaging, and educational program is desired. Due to COVID19 health and safety compliance requirements, additional duties will require strict enforcement of facility and equipment sanitation, use of personal protective equipment, personal hygiene, and rigorous documentation of classroom management standards.

The ability to support parents as first teachers and student academic performance is a must, via non-traditional instruction (NTI 2.0) support. A commitment to best practices in high quality early child development and school-aged youth education programming with sound customer-oriented people skills, record-keeping, verbal and written communications, and problem-solving skills are desired.

At least three (3) years of early education, youth development, tutoring or mentoring with school-aged children is desired. Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate or an associate degree is preferred. A personal automobile for work related travel is expected.

Individuals must be physically capable of performing all daily activities and youth development tasks five days per week.

Competitive hourly rate is available. Positions open until filled.
