On behalf of our Board of Directors and staff of Louisville Central Community Centers, as well as the thousands of children and families whose lives have been enriched by the generosity and leadership of David A. Jones, Sr. , we extend our sincere prayers, respect and condolences to the Jones and Humana families at his passing to his eternal reward. Mr. Jones was a truly outstanding leader, philanthropist anchored in the Louisville community and a very able community servant leader as co-founder and head of one of our city’s leading employers. Mr. Jones’ longstanding support of LCCC’s mission was more than generous. LCCC especially appreciates his efforts through the Humana and the C.E. and S. foundations in support of our “Old Walnut Street” capital development initiatives. He advocated and supported the economic transformation of west Louisville and never forgot about the community where he grew up.

David Jones, Sr. is a true Louisville legend; and, he will be truly missed greatly by the LCCC family and our entire community.
